Susan "Sue" Burgoyne

Susan “Sue” M. (LeMay) Burgoyne, of Ellington, passed from her earthly journey, at the age of 50, to eternal life on Saturday (June 18, 2011) at Manchester Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Scott A. Burgoyne and loving daughter of Bertha (Leonard) LeMay of Enfield and the late Robert G. LeMay. Susan was born on March 24, 1961 in Holyoke, MA and had resided in Enfield most of her life and the past 3 years in Ellington. She was a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S. Class of 1979. Sue was employed for 12 ½ years with Bingham & McCuthen, Hartford, CT and most recently with Babson Capital, Springfield, MA. Sue was a member of the Trinity Covenant Church Christmas Choir, she loved to cook and was an avid bowler but, her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. Besides her beloved husband Scott and loving mother Bertha, Sue is also survived by her two siblings, a brother and sister-in-law Robert K. and Laura B. LeMay and a brother Brian G. LeMay all of Enfield, her mother-in-law Marvourine Burgoyne of Ellington, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Karen & Richard Casavant of South Windsor, four beloved and cherished nephews Steven, Matthew & Gregory LeMay and Joshua Lewis, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Besides her father she was predeceased by her father-in-law Arthur Burgoyne. Relatives and friends may gather with Sue’s family during calling hours on Wednesday (June 22, 2011) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (June 23, 2011) with the procession forming at 10:00 am from the funeral home to St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield for a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Wapping Cemetery South Windsor, CT.
